STEM Week awe and wonder

During STEM Week (4th-8th March) the boys learned, were entertained and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There were shows with exploding propane bubbles, experiments with liquid nitrogen and dry ice, Cartesian divers and Spheros robots. Year 8 tried technical drawing and vehicle design. The Science Fair provided the opportunity for everyone to try out various experiments and challenges, from creating noisy instruments to using a rocket launcher. We guessed the order in which chicks would hatch. Focus weeks like this give everyone the chance to be enthused, to remember how exciting it is to learn and how important it is to be curious.

‘The important thing is to never stop questioning.’
