What do you miss about Rokeby?

The atmosphere surrounding the school, I only have happy memories regarding the environment – whether that being in lessons, the sport teams or the playground.

Best things about Upper School

The sense of independence and responsibility that you don’t necessarily get at junior schools or younger years of senior schools, I found I really cherished roles where I got more and more input as I climbed higher up the school.

Best memory/favourite moment

My favourite memory was either captaining the rugby team on the Canada Rugby Tour and winning Man of the Match, or presenting in front of the whole school a talk on who I believed was the most influential person in British History!

Best trip

My favourite trip was the Canada Rugby Tour as it provided the perfect end to my favourite sport at Rokeby as well as including lots of fun extra curricular activities like the Royal British Columbia Museum.

Biggest achievement

My biggest achievement was becoming Deputy Head Boy in Year 8, which was a role I felt so privileged and proud to have held.

One piece of advice to younger boys

The Upper School years are a time which you won’t ever experience again until you’re coming to the end of your time at your senior school – so throw yourself at any opportunities that present themselves and always try to work hard and have fun!

Comment from parent

Rokeby is a wonderful school, nurturing and supportive whilst creating an environment where the boys can develop their own personalities and learn to cope with the responsibilities and roles that come with the senior years.
