The Lower School Sports Day took place at RSG last week and was a fantastic celebration of energy, enthusiasm, and togetherness! From our Reception boys taking part in their very first competitive experience to the Year 2 pupils enjoying their final Lower School Sports Day, there was a wonderful sense of occasion throughout. All boys demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and camaraderie, supporting one another with great spirit across a wide range of activities. The programme offered something for everyone, including sprint races, hurdles, beanbag throws, sack races, obstacle courses, and relays, all delivered with smiles, determination, and plenty of encouragement from one another. Parents also played their part brilliantly, cheering on from the sidelines with unwavering enthusiasm.

The much-anticipated House relay brought plenty of excitement, with Moody emerging victorious in a thrilling finish. However, one of the standout moments of the day was undoubtedly the staff race. With Lower School and Games staff lining up, the boys loved every second of the spectacle. In a closely fought contest, the Games department ultimately claimed victory, with Mr Pope crossing the line by a nose to secure first place! A special mention must go to the fantastic Year 8 boys, who gave up their time to help and support the younger pupils. Their encouragement and leadership were invaluable and helped make the morning such a success.

The day concluded with a lovely picnic, as boys and their families gathered to celebrate a memorable morning at the sports ground, an occasion full of joy, effort, and community spirit.
