Year 5 recently visited the Roald Dahl museum and enjoyed a fantastic day of workshops. Thank you to Max C for this wonderful round up of the day:

On Wednesday, 22 April, we went to the Roald Dahl museum. It was a long journey, and once we got there, we were very relieved. The museum had big purple gates; it was a bit like the gates to Wonka’s chocolate factory. The first thing we did was a workshop where we made strange faces, put dreams into a jar and made a movie using stop animation. This was all designed to improve our storytelling skills. Then we went and looked in the museum. There was a height chart on the wall, and I was as tall as a Vermicious Knid! After lunch, we went into the village to explore where Roald Dahl lived and some of the places that inspired his stories. We saw the library that inspired Matilda and the petrol pumps that inspired Danny Champion of the World. It was a great trip!
