The Year 4s took part in their first overnight trip with the school this week. In keeping with the theme of survival from their book ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’, the boys got to engage in some activities which might stand them in good stead should they ever be stranded on a deserted island.
They learnt how to start a fire using a flintstone, build a water filter and shelter, however I think the most exciting part of all was EATINGBUGS!
For many it was the first night away from home, for some, their first night sleeping in a tent, for all, a thoroughly enjoyable night away with their friends.
