Last Friday, we celebrated Outdoor Learning Day, where outdoor lessons were positively encouraged. We are fortunate at Rokeby to have access to a range of spaces where lessons can take place. Be it the busier terrace area, complete with views towards Tolworth, or the more peaceful and calm adventure playground (when it is not being used for playtime!). Research says that outdoor learning enhances academic, physical, and emotional development by moving education into natural settings. It improves student engagement, boosts wellbeing, and reduces stress.

As part of Outdoor Learning Day, Mrs Brown organised a visit from a local beekeeper, J&J Pure Honey, to the younger boys to talk about the importance of bees. They all enjoyed visiting the hives and seeing the bees in real life.
