Last week, a team from the London Ambulance Service trained Year 8 boys to become ‘London Lifesavers’. The boys were taught how to manage a cardiac arrest situation. They received instruction on how to perform CPR and how to use a defibrillator. All the boys passed the course and each received a London Lifesaver badge. While we hope they never need to use these skills in the ‘real world’, it is vitally important that they know what to do if the situation arises – quick action can quite literally make the difference between life and death.
