Following on from Jaco Ottink’s successful talk to the Rokeby boys a few weeks ago some parents attended his inspiring talk on Monday evening. Jaco passionately described his story and adventure to Mount Everest. He left his audience in awe of such an achievement.
His underlying message, which is inspiring us to reach our dream, is one we encourage the boys to adopt. We want them to believe in themselves; that they can do it, but that it takes hard work and determination. Lucas F in Year 1 was motivated by this message and has been practising his art work each week with the dream of one day being an artist. I believe he is on the ’road map’ to achieving his dream!
