This term in Future Skills, our Year 7 boys have been studying the topic Exploring Our World: Adventure, Community, and Sustainability. Working in groups, they identified a real‑world problem and explored how to address it through sustainable practices. The boys then designed and built a model using recyclable materials before presenting their ideas to the rest of the class.

We have been delighted to see significant improvements in the boys’ collaboration, oracy, and research skills throughout the project. Today, Year 7 enjoyed a trip to Kingston town centre during which they:

• Identified positive changes that could make Kingston greener and more sustainable

• Learned how to write a persuasive letter to an MP
