On Tuesday 21st May, Year 2 visited the Science Museum where they had a great time learning about Space. The day started with a workshop all about life in space and understanding what astronauts have to do whilst living in on the International Space Station. They learnt about the various roles involved from engineer and planner to the doctor and controller. Next, they were given challenges to solve such as recycling dirty water into clean drinking water or mending solar panels whilst dressed in a space suit. However, the highlight of the day was the 3D simulation of the Apollo launch and exploration of the moon- complete with bouncing around on a space buggy!
The boys all had a fantastic day and the staff were really impressed with their behaviour. A big thank you to the parent helpers for accompanying us on the trip.
