Max celebrates his 50th Gold medal in swimming

Max represents the Kingston Royals swimming club and competed this past weekend at the Rushmoor Royals meet.

Max scooped an impressive 5 Gold medals from 6 events.  Over the last fortnight, he has swum at 3 meets and pocketed 12 Golds and 1 Silver from 14 events with lots of p.b.’s!  Max has therefore reached the impressive milestone of 50 Gold medals (see a pic of most of them) to add to the 9 Silvers and 4 Bronzes that he has accumulated since he started competitive swimming in September 2016.

Max’s recent progress has meant that he has become the fastest 10 year old of the last 20 years at his club in a few events. He has qualified in 8 out of 9 events for the Surrey Counties to be held in February 2019 over the 50m Long Course pool at the London Aquatic Centre, home of the 2012 Olympics.

He also recently represented Rokeby in the inter-school swimming Gala held at Feltonfleet. Max was competing against boys two years older than him, and impressively still won the individual butterfly race. In addition, he also was a key part of both the freestyle and medley relay teams for Rokeby.

A huge congratulations to Max and his recent achievements.
