Trips

School trips

We believe it is vital to offer boys opportunities to go on a wide variety of trips during their time here, including Fishbourne Roman Palace, Hampton Court and Dover Castle. Some longer, residential trips are educational in many ways, not least because they allow children to develop co-operative and social skills and learn a little responsibility.

All trips are designed to assist the curriculum where possible, and are sometimes specific field trips as in Geography and Science. The expectation is that all classes will go on at least one outing a year, which may include a visit to a theatre, art gallery or local place of religious worship.

Activity and Outward bound trips are arranged for whole year groups, such as at the start of Year 5 and towards the end of the Year 8. Trips abroad are also often arranged: recent trips have included an annual ski trip and visits to Greece, Rome and Sorrento and even a cricket tour to South Africa. Such trips may incur an extra cost but are undoubtedly memorable experiences.
