We pride ourselves on developing strong Mathematical skills in our boys.
As early as possible, we place an emphasis on developing numeracy, practical Maths, good mechanical skills and logical thinking in problem solving.
We encourage the boys to enjoy Mathematics and to experience it inside and outside the classroom. Boys are placed in sets according to their ability in Year 5. From Year 5 upwards our boys participate in Primary and Junior Maths challenges. Small groups of boys from Year 4 upwards regularly participate in Maths challenges and other competitions.
We provide our boys with a range of enrichment activities including Mathematics sessions during Arts Week and Science Week and trips to St Albans Cathedral and Bletchley Park.
